Save Our Wildlife Foundation (SOWFI) is looking for volunteers to help with its work caring for and advocating for native wildlife.
The Mount Barker-based group is a science-led, grass roots animal rescue and rehabilitation organisation that operates across the Hills and Fleurieu.
It also provides a 24/7 wildlife rescue and advice service – 7120 6610.
SOWFI volunteers care for orphaned, sick, injured and displaced wildlife and relieve suffering through effective rescue and rehabilitation, releasing back into the wild whenever possible.
They particularly need more wildlife carers and people on the box installation team, which is an active outdoor role.
Training is provided and all volunteers are supported by a team leader.
Anyone with the time and commitment to learn to care for wildlife is welcome to join the 100 per cent volunteer group.
