Willunga into another GF in Great Southern Women's Football

Reigning premier Willunga are through to the 2024 Grand Final after defeating Goolwa/Port Elliot by 48 points in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) ‘A’ Grade Women’s competition Preliminary Final at Myponga yesterday. Willunga will face off with McLaren Districts in the decider at Yankalilla on Sunday (11/8/24). Yesterday, Goolwa/Port Elliot started well to lead by five points at quarter time, but from that point on it was all Willunga as they kicked eight unanswered goals to win 10.7 (67) to 2.7 (19). Tamara Page was a star up forward for Willunga with five goals, while Emily Steele and Jessica Kirk kicked two goals each. Best players for the Demons were Caitlin Radbone, Page, Emma Leask, Kirk, Frankie Stone and Kirstin Remfrey. The Magpies were best served by Indigo Miller, Ellie Fry, Bridget Lindsay, Cassie Burrows, Jessica Bailey and Rachel Searle.
