Willunga are the first team through to the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) ‘A’ Grade Women’s Grand Final after defeating McLaren Districts by 13 points in the second semi-final at Goolwa today. The Demons led at every change before winning 4.11 (35) to 3.4 (22). Tamara Page kicked two goals for Willunga, while Abby Woodward kicked all three goals for McLaren Districts. Best players for the Demons included Bella Rigby, Kristen Rothwell, Kirstin Remfrey, Sarah Wright, Jodie Hunt and Page. Best for the Eagles included Caitlin Ross, Woodward, Zahli Grund, Mia Hamilton, Cadence Bryowsky and Mia Dunn.
Yankalilla/Encounter Bay won through to next week’s preliminary final after defeating Myponga-Sellicks by 21 points in the first semi-final today. The Stingrays led all day to win 4.4 (28) to 1.1 (7). Best players for the Stingrays included Matisse Hunter, Jardel Barker, Halle James, Tyler Rigney Garrett, Jaimi Griffen and Aardhana Renata-Skeen.
