Willunga won their second Great Southern Netball Association (GSNA) League premiership in three years after defeating Victor Harbor 70-68 in a thriller at Victor Harbor on Saturday. Willunga won their last five minor round games before defeating McLaren Vale by seven goals in their semi-final, and finished with seven wins on the trot with their victory yesterday. Amy Bull from Willunga was adjudged best-on-court.
The other senior grade premierships were shared around with McLaren Vale winning Senior 2 and Senior 6, Mount Compass won the Senior 3 pennant, the Senior 4 flag was taken out by Myponga, while Langhorne Creek were victorious in Senior 5.
The junior premierships were won by four clubs with Langhorne Creek (3), Strathalbyn (2), Myponga (2) and McLaren Vale (1) sharing the eight flags up for grabs.
