Willunga began their premiership defence in fine fashion with a 68-53 win in their Grand Final rematch against Victor Harbor during round one of the Great Southern Netball Association (GSNA) League competition. Willunga surprised many with their premiership win in 2020 and on Saturday they showed they’d be hard to beat again in 2021. In other games, McLaren Vale had a strong 50-30 victory against Myponga, Mount Compass won a high scoring match 64-55 against Goolwa while Yankalilla travelled to Langhorne Creek and came away with a tight 23-20 victory.
Strathalbyn had the bye.
