Wine Flies tune up for finals in Southern Football League Women's competition

Reynella tuned up for finals with a comfortable 53-point win against Cove Cobras during round 15 action in the Southern Football League Women’s (SFLW) competition at Hallett Cove yesterday. The Wine Flies led by 13 points at halftime, before kicking six unanswered goals in the second half to win 9.12 (66) to 2.1 (13). Summer Weir, Chloe Lea and Sarah Bourn all kicked two goals each for Reynella, while Ella Gill and Jessica Stewart kicked the Cobras’ goals. Best players for Reynella were Zannah Loxton, Rebecca Hunter, Sienna Garner, Dominique Byrne, Lea and Shanique West. The Cobras were best served by Dana O'Brien, Hayley Donnell, Cally Swalue, Jaymie Savaidis, Ashleigh Need and Jemima Buss.


That was the only game played for round 15 with Port Noarlunga winning by forfeit over Hackham and Flagstaff Hill also winning by forfeit against Ironbank Cherry Gardens.
