Kangaroo Island residents can get their COVID-19 Winter booster this week, with a clinic operating in the Town Hall at Kingscote until next Tuesday.
Appointments are now on a walk-in basis for those who have not yet made an appointment.
Winter doses (a fourth dose of the vaccine) are available for anyone aged over 65 and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50.
Anyone aged 16 or over who is immunocompromised or has a medical condition that increases their risk of severe COVID-19, a disability or significant or complex health needs is also eligible.
As Kangaroo Island is a remote location residents can receive a winter booster with a shorter interval of three months after receiving a booster dose.
People who have had COVID-19 infection since their first booster dose, should receive their winter dose at least 3 months after the infection.
The clinic will also offer first and second dose vaccinations for children aged 5 - 11 on Friday 17 June and Saturday 18 June.
It can also dispense first, second or third doses of the vaccine.
COVID vaccinations no longer need to be spaced around influenza vaccinations. The COVID-19 vaccine and the flu vaccine can be administered on the same day.
Any Islanders who have queries about their COVID-19 vaccination can call 0468 576 150.
