Wisanger and Western Districts earn week off in Kangaroo Island Football

Wisanger secured the all-important double chance after defeating Parndana by 68 points during final round action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) on Saturday. The final score was Wisanger 17.16 (118) to Parndana 7.8 (50). Khyal Stead kicked six goals in a best-on-ground performance for the Panthers and he was well supported by Luke Bowd, Dusty Cross, Jai Turner and Sam Snowball. Frank May, Trad McMulkin, Zach Trethewey, Bailey Gaskin and Otto Wendt were named best for the Roosters.


Western Districts finished the season undefeated after defeating Kingscote by 105 points on Saturday. The Saints led by 61 points at halftime, before kicking another eight goals to one in the second half to win 18.10 (118) to 1.7 (13). Western Districts skipper Lleyton Hedges kicked eight goals in a best-on-ground performance, while Lloyd Coulson kicked three majors. Tyson Holman kicked the only goal for Kingscote. Joining Hedges in the best players for Western Districts were Tate Barrett, Dylan Lockett, Tim Larcombe and Caleb Whittle. Best players for Kingscote included Zak Siemer, Luke Mackie and Rory Lovering.


Dudley United had the bye.
