Witnesses sought to assault at Seaford Meadows

Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an assault at Seaford Meadows last night.


At about 6.15pm on Tuesday 17 February, police were called to the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Seaford Road, after reports a cyclist had punched a driver of a white Toyota Hilux utility, before throwing his bike at the ute.


The rider left his helmet behind, and this has been seized by police for forensic examination.


The driver, a 78-year-old man attended a local hospital for minor injuries.


The cyclist was last seen riding off on his bike north along Grand Boulevard. He is described as having dark hair with a goatee, black pants, white shirt and riding a modified mountain bike.


Police have spoken to some witnesses but are seeking anyone else who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam of the incident, to contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote 046002 or submit a tip online
