Witnesses sought to station assaultNoarlunga Railway Station was the scene of an alleged assault on Tuesday 14 July.

Southern commuters are asked to come forward if they witnessed an alleged assault at Noarlunga Railway Station last night.


According to police, about 5.50pm on Tuesday 14 July, a man was walking through the Noarlunga Railway Station in company with his partner and brother when they were approached by a group of six people asking for money.


The victim was allegedly punched to the head, causing him to fall to the ground. His partner was also allegedly assaulted when she attempted to intervene.


The victim was treated at the Flinders Medical Centre for facial fractures.


Southern District CIB detectives are investigating the incident and ask anyone who witnessed this incident to to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.


Police urge anyone who experiences or witnesses antisocial behaviour at the train station to report it to the police assistance line on 131 444.
