Woman reported following Hindmarsh Valley crash

A woman has been reported following a crash at Hindmarsh Valley earlier this month.


Just after 1pm on Friday 1 August, police responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Victor Harbor Road and Hindmarsh Tiers Road.


A black Jeep travelling north on Victor Harbor Road approached the intersection of Hindmarsh Tiers Road. At this time, a blue Mazda sedan travelling east on Hindmarsh Tiers Road has allegedly failed to slow, stop or give way and crashed into the Jeep.


Both vehicles were destroyed in the high speed impact.


The occupants of the Jeep, a 61-year-old man and 62-year-old woman both from Encounter Bay, and a passenger in the Mazda, a 30-year-old woman from Aldinga beach, were taken to hospital for treatment.


The Mazda driver, a 67-year-old woman from Aldinga Beach, was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.


Following investigations into the crash, the 67-year-old woman from Aldinga Beach was reported for aggravated driving without due care causing harm, driving without due care and failing to give way. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
