Women in business talk styleJo Puplett from Elevate Your Look with Women in Business Regional Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey at Angoves McLaren Vale.

Dressing for success and finding your personal style was the focus for the final 2020 McLaren Vale lunch for the Women in Business Regional Network.

The guest speaker was Jo Puplett from Elevate Your Look, who unveiled some startling statistics that many of those in the room could relate to.

These included the fact that on average 67 per cent of the clothes in the wardrobe won’t be worn again, and a staggering 23kg of clothes are thrown out each year.

Those at the lunch at Angoves were invited to complete a survey to help unlock their own style personality, with suggestions offered as to the type of clothing that would fit the style they wanted to achieve.

Jo said many women found style challenging, particularly as they age or change their lifestyles.

The challenges can include changing body shapes, lack of knowledge on style and also the fact that we tend to also change skin colour as we age, so a change in colour palette may be required.

This was the final physical event for the year for the network thanks to the state’s 6-day lockdown.

Bookings have recently opened for a lunch at the Arkaba Hotel on Saturday,

January 16 to launch into what is hoped will be a less challenging 2021.

The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business.

You don’t have to be a member to attend events but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.com.au.
