Many people are afraid of snakes and don’t know what to do when they come across one on their property.
Alexandrina Libraries will offer snake awareness sessions at its Goolwa and Strathalbyn branches in February.
These informative talks will explain how to identify snakes and what to do when you encounter them.
They will cover how to snake-proof the garden and discuss pet awareness, snakebite first aid and more.
Local snake catcher Wendy Conaghty will lead the Goolwa workshop on Tuesday 2 February from 6-7pm at Goolwa Library in Cadell Street.
Trainer and herpetologist Julian Craig will lead the Strathalbyn session on Wednesday 10 February from 6-7pm at the library on Colman Terrace.
Bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
