Yank consults on annual business plan

It’s local government budget season and District Council of Yankalilla is first cab off the rank on consultation.

It will hold drop-in Q&A sessions and a public meeting as part of the consultation process on its draft annual business plan and budget.

The council says this year’s draft builds on the strong foundations laid in recent years and focuses on what matters most to the community, while planning for a sustainable future.

Its plan outlines what the council intends to deliver in the next financial year and how those priorities will be funded.

The Draft 2025–26 Annual Business Plan & Budget and Draft Long-Term Financial Plan 2025-2035 are available online.

The first community engagement session will be held today, Tuesday 29 April, with a drop-in Q&A from 3pm to 6pm at Yankalilla Library & Cultural Centre.

Another Q&A will be held at Second Valley Soldiers’ Memorial Hall on Wednesday 14 May, also from 3pm to 6pm.

There will be a public meeting to hear five minute verbal public submissions at the council chambers in Yankalilla on Tuesday 20 May from 6pm to 7pm.

Consultation closes on Thursday 20 May, after which the council will review the plan and present the final version to the June council meeting.
