Events all across the Fleurieu have been cancelled because of COVID-19, but there is still some fun to be had from within the creative cocoon.

Young people living within the District Council of Yankalilla area can enter its youth photography competition by capturing their interpretation of life in lockdown.

How does it feel? How do you cope? What does it look like?

There are two categories; juniors aged from five to 16 years and seniors aged from 17 to 25.

First prize is an Optus X-wave smart phone and second prize is a $100 South Coast Surf voucher.

Photos submitted must be digital files and formatted as JPEG files with a minimum file size of 1Mb.

Each entrant can submit up to three entries and all must be their own original work.

All entries must be submitted no later than 4.00pm on Monday 11 May.

Copyright permission to the District Council of Yankalilla is a condition of entry and the images may be used in some council publications.

The winning entries will be announced on the Yank Youth Facebook and Fleurieu Coast YAC Instagram pages and on council's website on Friday 22 May at 5.00pm.

A panel including Mel Nicholson and Steve from NEverest Photography will judge the competition and its decisions will be final.

A people's choice award will be determined by the greatest number of likes per image per category on the Yank Youth Facebook page.

All entries will be exhibited on council's website, the Yank Youth Facebook page and the Fleurieu Coast Instagram page.

To enter complete the Entry Form and email submissions to Natalie Morris.
