The Yankalilla district now has its own chapter of the Women in Business Regional Network.
A launch event at the Normanville Hotel attracted 16 women, including members from the neighbouring Victor Harbor and McLaren Vale chapters.
Network founder Carolyn Jeffrey talked about the network and gave a presentation on improving online presence.
The Yankalilla area chapter is the 12th physical South Australian chapter for the network that was founded in 2017.
The network has grown over the past four years to have more than 300 financial members across regional South Australia, and also in Victoria and Tasmania, thanks to the pandemic and online events.
“The aim is to create a supportive environment for regional women to promote their businesses, learn and network with each other on a regular basis,” Carolyn says.
“It also serves as an advocate for the needs of regional women in business.
“Thanks to a grant from Regional Development Australia Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island, a group coaching and mentoring program has recently been added to the network’s services and an online magazine and podcast is due for launch later this year.”
The next Yankalilla area function will be a dinner at Links Lady Bay Resort on Thursday 4 November, when the presentation topic will be on simplifying your marketing effort.
The network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business. You don’t have to be a member to attend events, but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
