Year 11 and 12 students on the Fleurieu now have priority walk-in access to get COVID-19 vaccinations without an appointment at SA Health run hubs.
The aim is to give current year 11s and 12s the opportunity to be fully vaccinated before they finish the school year. Students in these years usually finish a few weeks earlier than the main cohort.
The Department for Education and SA Health are looking to set up school COVID-19 immunisation options for students in other year levels.
Year 11 and 12 students can attend the COVID-19 vaccination hub at Noarlunga on Goldsmith Drive. The clinic is open from 12:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursdays and from 9am to 4pm every other day of the week.
Alternatively students can also get a walk in service at the Victor Harbor vaccination clinic at 2 George Main Road, opposite Victor Harbor High School.
If opting to go to the Victor Harbor clinic students are asked to phone 0468 576 150 before attending.
There is also an option to receive the walk-in service at the Mount Barker clinic and the Wayville Hub.
Students will need to show their student card.
Those with an underlying medical condition can still get a ‘walk in’ appointment but will need a referral from their GP.
They can also book to get vaccinated at participating GPs.
All South Australians aged 12 and over are now able to make a COVID-19 vaccination appointment via the SA Health website.
