ExpressWay Arts offers a fantastic opportunity to create art across the generations.
Organised by Carclew and the City of Onkaparinga, it offers the chance for older people to join in a series of free workshops with a creatively driven group of 13–24-year-olds.
The program is a response to the isolation that many people in the community experience, approaching this in a proactive way.
Expressway Arts is looking for older people who would love to share their stories, memories and favourite songs with the group to be the inspiration for their song-writing process.
This initiative values young people as co-collaborators and decision makers through design and delivery and aims to build their confidence, connections and skills in acting, writing, devising, directing, filmmaking and more.
The free workshops start from Friday 23 July at Arts Centre, Port Noarlunga and run from 4pm to 6.30pm.
To get involved and have your voice heard contact Lisa Elder on 0408 441 686 to register or email Tam for more information.
Free transport may be available.
