The annual ABC Heywire competition is still open to Australians aged 16 to 22, with the final date for entries fast approaching.
Heywire puts young people at the centre of the conversations that shape their communities, with weekly winners featured on ABC television.
The annual Heywire cycle begins with a storytelling competition, which is open to young people living in regional or rural Australia.
They are encouraged to tell stories about their life outside the major cities in text, photo, video or audio format.
Some tips on how to go about it can be found on YouTube.
The deadline for submitting stories to the Heywire competition is Friday 1 September.
For details go to the ABC website.
