A youth has been arrested after cannabis was found at his Strathalbyn home.

About 9am on Friday 19 May police searched a home and located cannabis, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.

An occupant of the home a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with possess firearm without a licence, possessing cannabis and possessing equipment.

He was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Youth Court on 1 June.
