Alexandrina Council offers a youth sponsorship program, which aims to support and encourage young people displaying commitment, passion and determination to undertake skill development.

The council recognises the positive contribution young people make to community life and the importance of providing opportunities for personal growth and capacity building.

The program covers activities in the areas of Arts, Culture, Music and Dance; Sport and Recreation; Community Participation and Leadership; and Education and Academic Performance.

The sponsorship could be for events or workshops that develop personal or professional skills and experience; regional, national or international level competitions; or leadership programs or conferences.

Funding of up to $300 is available to individuals and up to $1200 for groups.
