Two youths were injured after the stolen car they were driving was involved in a crash at Chandlers Hill on Thursday night, 2 March.
Police received multiple calls from the public reporting two young children seen driving a car through the southern suburbs, barely able to see over the steering wheel.
The Nissan sedan, which had been reported stolen from Noarlunga Centre on Wednesday 1 March, was spotted travelling through Seacliff around 6pm on Thursday evening.
At 7pm, the stolen vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Sugarloaf Road and Chandlers Hill Road, Chandlers Hill.
The two boys in the stolen vehicle were taken by ambulance to the Flinders Medical Centre and have since been released.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 41-year-old Kangarilla man, was not injured in the crash.
A 15-year-old boy from Morphett Vale was arrested and charged with breach of bail, illegal use and theft. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
A 14-year-old boy from Morphett Vale was arrested and charged with illegal use, speed dangerous and driving whilst unlicensed. He has been bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court in May.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
