The number of COVID-19 cases in the Alexandrina Council are has jumped by 45% in a week.
The increase comes as SA Health releases new modelling indicating numbers may already be at their peak for the current wave of infections.
The number of cases in Alexandrina council went from 367 to 532 from March 30 to April 5.
Kangaroo Island’s number went from 27 to 50 and Victor Harbor recorded an increase of 76 cases in the same period.

As the busy Easter and school holiday season approaches, local businesses are under pressure as staff members contract COVID-19 or have to isolate for seven days as close contacts.
Just over 5000 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the state yesterday.
SA Health confirmed two women in their 60s, a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 80s, who tested positive for COVID-19, passed away.
There are 206 people with COVID-19 in South Australian hospitals, including 11 people in ICU. One patient is being ventilated.
