It’s state election day and the Fleurieu’s polling booths are open from 8am to 6pm today.
Local community clubs will be out in force, raising some much-needed funds at the polling booths so, if you can, buy a democracy sausage when you vote and support your community.
The busiest booths on the Fleurieu in the 2018 election were Goolwa Primary School, the two Aldinga sites, Strathalbyn and Willunga.
The Fleurieu App’s tip to avoiding queues on the South Coast is to vote at Middleton. It’s usually quick to get in and out. However, with record numbers of people registering for early and postal votes, polling places may be quieter than usual this time around.
The Fleurieu App will publish updates and local results as tonight and tomorrow.
