The dogs of Aldinga (and their owners) are smiling today after hearing they can't be banned from Southern Football League grounds.

The Southern Football League last week passed a policy banning dogs at club grounds.

However, Councillor Richard Peat of the City of Onkaparinga has confirmed the league does not have the power to enact the dog ban.

The League's club grounds are on council property.

Councillor Peat says the league have been informed and that council had received many phone calls about the issue.
