The City of Onkaparinga’s Community Connections program is running a hands-on workshop for people who want to learn how to grow seedlings.
The workshop will cover what to sow, when to sow, how to source and store seeds and save them from produce.
The workshop will cost $10 with a light morning tea will be provided and each participant will take home their own seedling trays.
All gardening levels welcome.
The event will be hosted at the Happy Patch Community Garden in Aberfoyle Park on Saturday 13 August at 10am.
Preference given to Onkaparinga residents but there also be a limited number of tickets available for non-Onkaparinga residents.

The University of South Australia’s citizen science project Edible Gardens found people can save hundreds of dollars each year by growing their own vegetables.
There are also mental health benefits.
The researchers who established the project said growing food was not as time consuming as many people thought, with most gardens only requiring about an hour of attention a week.
