Major Crash Officers are investigating a fatal crash at Meadows this morning.

At about 6.50am on Sunday 27 February police and emergency services responded to reports of a car crashing into a tree on Battunga Road, near the intersection with Scottsburn Road.

Sadly the driver and sole occupant of the Nissan Patrol a 19-year-old man from Inman Valley died at the scene.

Battunga Road was closed but has since been re-opened. 

Police say this is the 11th life lost on SA roads this year, compared to 16 at the same time last year.
