The Victor Harbor COVID-19 testing site has moved and has new, shorter opening hours.
The change comes just as the summer holidays are due to start, bringing thousands of intra and interstate vistors to the region.
The clinic opened at its new location at 2 George Main Road in Victor Harbor (the former site of the COVID-19 vaccination clinic) earlier this week. It was previously located next to the South Coast District Hospital.
It is open from 9am to 1pm, 7 days a week. It was previously open from 9am to 5pm daily.
You can now book a test time online or phone 1800 253 787.
Walk-in tests are also still available.
The clinic experienced one of its busiest periods of the year last week after it was reported that a COVID-19 positive person had visited Nino’s Café and the Crown Hotel in Victor Harbor on November 28.
The COVID-19 vaccination clinic is now located in the Victor Harbor Central Shopping Centre, opposite Kmart.
Walk in appointments are available from 8.30am to 3pm. Bookings can also be made online at sahealth.gov.au

The South Australia COVID-Ready Plan says that once 90% of all South Australians aged 12 and over have been vaccinated the state’s borders will be open to all fully vaccinated interstate and international arrivals.
Unvaccinated travellers will still be required to quarantine for 14 days.
The plan says most restrictions will be removed at this point, but the system of testing, tracing, isolation and quarantine will remain in place.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration has found the booster dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 years and older both safe and effective to provide an additional level of immunity and protection.
