The Sid James Victor Harbor Triathlon is set to go ahead tomorrow and Sunday.

Registrations and late entries for all events will be available on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm at the Salvation Army Precinct, 22 Bartel Boulevard, Encounter Bay.

The main event, the Pillar Performance Olympic Distance Triathlon, will take place on Sunday.

Saturday will feature an all-ages 1km swim, a Salvation Army Kids Triathlon and an all ages 5km race.

The following road closures will be in place.

Saturday 12 March 2022 (2pm – 5pm)

• Bartel Boulevard from Malen Avenue to Franklin Parade

Sunday 13 March 2022 (6:30am – 2pm)

• Bartel Boulevard from Bay Road to Franklin Parade
• Malen Avenue from Bartel Boulevard to Tregonning Street
• Matthew Flinders Drive from Bartel Boulevard to Lakeside Circuit
• Ketch Place at Bartel Boulevard
• Bay Road from Tabernacle Road to Harbourview Terrace
• Maude Street from George Main Road to Bay Road
• Mill Road from George Main Road to Tabernacle Road
• Inman Valley Road from George Main Road to Sawpit Road
• Armstrong Road from George Main Road to Crozier Road
• George Main Road from Bay Road to Armstrong Road

The male and female winners of Sunday’s Elite division will each win $1000.

The athletes in the full event will complete a 1500m swim in Encounter Lakes, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run.

Two shorter triathlons will also be held.
