The Mount Compass Hotel is the latest Fleurieu site to close their doors and advise their patrons that they have been a COVID-19 exposure site.
The hotel’s management have reported that a staff member who worked from 4.30pm to 9pm on Christmas Eve and from 11am to 3pm on Boxing Day has since tested positive for COVID-19.
The hotel will be closed for cleaning and staff testing until New Years Day.
South Australia recorded 1471 new COVID cases today.
Premier Steven Marshall revealed the numbers in a press conference this morning.
Premier Marshall said that it will soon become mandatory for frontline healthcare workers and those working in aged and disability care to get the COVID-19 vaccine booster.
Workers will have two weeks to get the booster once the direction is officially put in place.
The Premier also said that elective surgeries would be restricted to category one and urgent category two procedures.
He asked employers and employees to “take the call to work from home very seriously”.
Meanwhile the Victor Harbor vaccination hub in the Victor Central Shopping Centre remains closed. It is scheduled to reopen next Tuesday (January 4).
