The owners of Nino’s Café in Victor Harbor say they only found out their business had been declared a COVID-19 exposure site via social media.
Simon and Kirsten Pitman posted on Facebook just after 9am this morning saying,
“As you may have heard, Ninos was visited by a covid case on Sunday 28/11 late evening, 8.15-9.15pm.”
“The first we were made aware of this was early hours this morning by a diligent staff member seeing it on social media.”
“To date we have not been contacted by SA HEALTH, SAPOL or anyone in tracing. We attempted to contact them this morning, and office is currently closed.”
“It is very encouraging that media were all aware, would have been nice to get a heads up ourselves.”
“As we have for the last 20months, our amazing team have been diligent, worn masks, cleaned between customers, and maintained all health directions to the best of our ability.”
“We have now followed current process laid out in the documentation and have all staff that were working during that time getting tested and isolating as required.”
“We have mashed together a roster and will endeavour to keep trading as long as it is deemed safe to do so.”
“As is always the case, we will monitor the situation and act in accordance with direction, whenever sa health decide to grace us with a phone call.”
“Fun times. Stay safe everyone. Xxx. Kirsten, Simon and the Ninos team.”
