Tallara Power kicked four goals to fire the Hawks to a 6.4 (40) to 1.8 (14) victory. Christies Beach skipper Michael Mazey kicked nine goals in a best-on-ground performance and he was well supported by Sean McIvor who kicked four goals. Ryan Need (4) and Brody Pearce (3) were the major goalkickers for the Cobras. Other good players for ‘Christies’ included Thomas Kirwan, Joshua Semmens, McIvor, Austin Hogg and Harrison Butcher. The game was tight in the second half as the Roos won 11.7 (73) to 8.5 (53). Ben Heaslip, Sam Basham and Jackson Elmes all kicked two goals for the Roos, while Josh Vandermeer kicked three goals for the Eagles. Aldinga played an excellent first half to go to the long break with a handy 35-point lead. Morphett Vale came roaring back into the contest with seven goals to two in the third term as the Sharks’ margin was cut to just four points. The final quarter saw four goals to each team before Aldinga finally triumphed 17.6 (108) to 16.11 (107). Jack Langdon kicked four goals for Aldinga, while Brad Lang and Connor Lock also kicked four goals for Morphett Vale.
