The Shoes led by nine points at halftime, before kicking four goals to one in the second half to win 5.11 (41) to 1.1 (7). Sarah Noble kicked two goals for the Shoes, while Charmaine Mulloy was the Hawks’ goalkicker. Best players for Noarlunga included Elyshiah Forrest, Cherinah Adderton, Megan Weetra, Noble and Skye Wilson. Hackham was best served by Nevara Richards, Dakota Dwyer, Katelyn Wilson, Alisha MacFayden and Maddison Hay.Christies Beach stayed top of the ladder following their convincing 132-point win over Aldinga. The Tigers led at every change before winning 6.10 (46) to 4.8 (32). Jack Fitzgerald kicked three goals for the Tigers, while their best players were James Hargreaves, Liam Gerber, Joel Kay, Luke Bartlett and Tyler Athanasos. NB: No goalkickers or best players were available for Goolwa/Port Elliot at the time of publication.Willunga moved inside the top-three after defeating fellow finals aspirant Victor Harbor by 36 points on Saturday. The Sharks got off to a good start to take a 21-point lead at quarter time. The margin was reduced to 14 points at halftime as Port Noarlunga kept the home side goalless in the second term. The Sharks steadied, kicking seven goals to four in the second half, to win 11.8 (74) to 6.7 (43). Tom Pilmore was the leading goalkicker on the field with three majors for Aldinga, while Gerard Dutton and Sam Roberts kicked two goals each for ‘Porties’. Aldinga’s best players included Luke Watson, Zach Young, Jack Langdon, Sam Bentley and Josiah Sheppard. Port Noarlunga was best served by Dutton, James Ledgard, Tom Dix, Michael Tedmanson and Jonah Dolman.Noarlunga consolidated their spot in the top-three with a grinding 11-point win at Morphett Vale. Mount Compass consolidated their spot in the top-five with an excellent 35-point win against fellow finals aspirant Myponga-Sellicks during round nine action in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) on Saturday. Mount Compass played an excellent first half to lead by 28 points at the long break. The second half was a real slog with both teams kicking one goal each, as the Bulldogs won 7.10 (52) to 2.5 (17). Tom Pinyon kicked four goals for Mount Compass, giving him 34 majors for the season so far. John Butcher and Connor Sampson were the goalkickers for the Mudlarks. Best players for ‘Compass’ included Tom Vitkunas, Nathan Hicks, Will Zimmermann, Klaus Simons and Pinyon. Best for Myponga-Sellicks included Scott Ogilvie, Dylan Lang, Anthony Kempster, Ryan Kelly and Kain Spinks.Victor Harbor moved inside the top-three with a comfortable 49-point victory at Langhorne Creek. Flagstaff Hill reached the halfway mark of the season on top of the ladder and undefeated after beating Noarlunga by 10 points during round nine action in the Southern Football League (SFL) at Old Noarlunga on Saturday. The Falcons started well, kicking six first-quarter goals, to lead by 22 points at the first change. Noarlunga won the last three quarters, kicking six goals to three, but ‘Flaggies’ prevailed 9.10 (64) to 8.6 (54). Sam Jacobs and Nathan Beenham kicked three goals each for Flagstaff Hill, while Callum Gaspari was a standout for the Shoes with five goals. Best players for the Falcons were Adam Bunworth, Brad Kirk, Kobe Cavouras, Ryan Mountford and David Kearsley. Noarlunga’s best were Gaspari, Josh Beard, Nathan Schulz, Bailey Hann and Nick Robertson.Morphett Vale won their second game in a row with a 14-point win at Happy Valley. The Eagles led at every change before running out winners 8.7 (55) to 3.2 (20). Caitlin Ross (3) and Layla Rogers (2) were the multiple goalkickers for McLaren Districts, while Annabella Walden kicked two goals for the Stingrays. Best players for McLaren Districts were Katie Whish, Ross, Jessica Hutton, Katrina Munzberg and Rogers. The Stingrays were best served by Chloe Howlett, Jemma Ellis, Walden, Jaimi Griffen and Dakota Oniszk.Reigning premier Willunga moved another step closer to the minor premiership following their 26-point win against Goolwa/Port Elliot. The Mudlarks led by 10 points at the last change, before holding on to win 3.6 (24) to 2.5 (17). Courtney Gum, Charlotte Collins and Tasiah Wright were the goalkickers for Myponga-Sellicks. Rachel Wood and Rosie Shaw kicked the Magpies’ goals. Grace Deacon, Carla Humphrys, Tara Ludlow, Collins and Sophie Magor were named as best players for the Mudlarks. Best for the Magpies included Renee Moon, Megan Hoad, Annabelle Mooney, Kerrie-Ann Moon and Indiana Quaremba.Willunga stayed top of the ladder with a tough 16-point win against McLaren Districts last Friday night. Port Noarlunga consolidated their position in the top-four with a hard-fought five-point victory against reigning premier Flagstaff Hill during round six action in the Southern Football League (SFL) ‘A’ Grade Women’s competition yesterday. ‘Flaggies’ held a slender one-point lead at halftime in a tough and low scoring affair. ‘Porties’ kicked the only two goals of the third term to take a handy 12-point lead at the last change. The Falcons kicked the only goal of the last quarter but ultimately fell short as the Cockle Divers won 4.9 (33) to 4.4 (28). Samantha Lynch kicked two goals for Port Noarlunga, while Elizabeth Johnson also kicked two goals for Flagstaff Hill. Best players for ‘Porties’ included Elisha Scriven, Charmaine Lynch, Samantha Lynch, Philippa Worthley and Jessica Couch. Flagstaff Hill was best served by Johnson, Amber Cloughessy, Rachel Crockart, Emily Brockhurst and Brooke Watson.Reynella maintained top spot on the ladder with a 174-point win against Noarlunga at Reynella on Sunday. The Cobras had 11 different goalkickers with Jaime Norup kicking seven majors in a best-on-ground display. Rachel Littlefield supported Norup with five goals of her own.
