Carli Morton starred up forward for the Falcons with six goals, while their best players were Czenya Cavouras, Chloe Meyers, Rachel Crockart, Alana Baker and Tamsyn Morriss. The Saints were best served by Melanie Koster, Jordan Bousfield and Brina Thompson-Fitzgerald. Reynella continued their undefeated season with a 96-point win at Aldinga. The Wine Flies led by 52 points at halftime, before kicking a further six goals to none in the second half to win 14.12 (96) to 0.0 (0). Casie Coombe (4), Emily Woods (4) and Allana Nimmo-Lyne (3) were the leading goalkickers for Reynella. Strathalbyn kept their finals hopes alive after defeating Mount Compass by 15 points win during round 16 action in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) yesterday. ‘Strath’ needed to dig deep in the final term as they trailed by six points at the last change. With their season on the line, the Roosters kicked four goals to one in the last quarter to win 13.6 (84) to 10.9 (69). Riley Clamp kicked five goals for the Roosters, while Tom Pinyon also kicked five majors for Mount Compass. Best players for Strathalbyn were Jacob Wright, Clamp, Ben Simounds, Marc Elliott and Austin McFarlane. Pinyon, Adam Hunter, Ziggy Vitkunas, Klaus Simons and Tom Vitkunas were best for the Bulldogs. McLaren Eagles remained undefeated after winning by 14 points at Victor Harbor. The Eagles led at every change to win 13.9 (87) to 11.7 (73). James Grimley kicked five goals for McLaren, while Jackson Elmes also kicked five goals for Victor Harbor. Christies Beach kept their finals hopes alive with an upset 28-point win at Morphett Vale during round 15 action of the Southern Football League (SFL) on Saturday. ‘Christies’ got out of the blocks quickly to lead by 30 points at quarter time. They extended their lead to 36 points at halftime, and then 37 points at the last change, before winning 15.9 (99) to 9.17 (71). Captain Nathan Stock kicked four goals for the Saints, while Jacob Crate and Blake Carter kicked three goals each. Anthony Biemans and Khori Mills-Richardson kicked two goals each for the Emus. Best players for Christies Beach included Michael Mazey, Jacob Crate, Josiah Sheppard, Stock and Jonty Murphy. Morphett Vale were best served by Biemans, Connor Lock, Liam Corrie, Scott Carpenter and Braydan Hartwig.Reynella all but wrapped up the minor premiership following their comfortable 47-point win against Cove. The game was tight for the first three quarters as the Demons led by 14 points at the last change with a spot in the decider up for grabs. Willunga pulled away in the final term, kicking three goals to zero, to win 8.3 (51) to 3.3 (21). Tamara Page, Tessa Kohn and Lauren Buchanan kicked two goals each for Willunga, while Hannah Georgeson also kicked two goals for the Eagles. The Hawks sit just one win outside the top-five with four games left in the minor round, ahead of a big clash with McLaren next week. Langhorne Creek led by 19 points at quarter time, 22 points at halftime and still led by 20 points at the last change and they looked well on their way to victory. The Mudlarks, with the home crowd behind them, kicked three goals in the last quarter but came up just short as the ‘Creeks’ won 10.10 (70) to 10.8 (68). Caleb Howell (3) and Jake Dominish (2) were the multiple goalkickers for the Hawks, while Jake Spinks (3) and Ben Kennedy (2) were the main goalkickers for the Mudlarks. Matt Dominish, Howell, Jake Dominish, Malakai Kartinyeri and Brodie O’Dea were named best players for Langhorne Creek. The Demons led by 18 points at quarter time, 42 points at halftime, and 68 points at the last change, before winning 14.8 (92) to 0.0 (0). Tamara Page kicked four goals in a best-on-ground display for Willunga and she was well supported by Chelsea Farr (3), Jodie Hunt (2), Shae Archbold (2) and Cleo Guilfoyle (2), who were the other multiple goalkickers.
