The game was tight throughout as ‘Flaggies’ won 4.3 (27) to 2.5 (17). Jessica Couch and Amber Cloughessy kicked two goals each for the Falcons, while Philippa Worthley and Jolande Winson kicked the goals for ‘Porties’. Best players for Flagstaff Hill included Emma Hodgson, Kelsey Rodman, Tiana Lush, Chloe Meyers, Melanie Koster and Elise Winton. The Cockle Divers were best served by Bree Chapman, Zoe Flesfadar, Worthley, Abby Dittmar, Shakira Dolman and Belinda Gale.Cove consolidated their position in the top-four after defeating Ironbank Cherry Gardens by 39 points at Cherry Gardens on Sunday. McLaren Districts moved up to second spot on the ladder after defeating Willunga by 26 points during round 11 action in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) at McLaren Vale on Saturday. Willunga started well to lead by 12 points at quarter time, before McLaren Districts hit back to lead by five points at the long break. The third quarter would prove decisive as the Eagles kicked four unanswered goals to take a 32-point lead into the last quarter as they went on to win 11.12 (78) to 7.10 (52). Cameron Jarrett was a standout for McLaren Districts with six goals, while Ryan Sherry kicked two majors for the Demons. Best players for the Eagles were Lachlan Mathews, Jarrett, Henry Mathews, Lachlan Camm, Jarrad Bollenhagen and Codey Ellison. Jace Daris (6), Alan Singh (5) and Harrison Butcher (4) were the leading goalkickers for the Saints, while Jayden Morton and Blake Harding were the goalkickers for Cove. Best players for Christies Beach included Austin Hogg, Daris, Thomas Paparella, Singh, Butcher and Jonty Murphy. The Falcons led by 38 points at halftime, before kicking a further seven unanswered goals in the second half to win 13.9 (87) to 0.0 (0). Jessica Couch and Amber Cloughessy kicked four goals each for the Falcons, while their best players were Rachel Crockart, Chloe Meyers, Brooke Watson, Elise Winton, Nicole O'Connor, Cloughessy. Best for the Hawks included Charlotte Carter, Nevara Richards, Alisha MacFadyen, Alana Browne, Melissa Belmont, Shayley MacFadyen. Cove won their fifth game of the season following a comfortable 76-point win against Ironbank Cherry Gardens. Yankalilla/Encounter Bay won their third game of the season after upsetting Goolwa/Port Elliot by 14 points during round 11 action in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) ‘A’ Grade Women’s competition at Willunga yesterday.  The Stingrays led by six points at halftime, before running out winners 5.6 (36) to 3.4 (22). Matisse Hunter was the only multiple goalkicker in the match with three majors for Yankalilla/Encounter Bay. The Stingrays best players were Iilish Ross, Madison Russell, Tyler Rigney-Garrett, Tahlia Parsons, Hunter and Chloe Howlett. The Magpies were best served by Megan Hoad, Indigo Miller, Cassie Burrows, Jessica Bailey, Georgina Thomas and Rachel Wood.Willunga maintained top spot on the ladder after a convincing 70-point win over Myponga-Sellicks. Myponga-Sellicks consolidated their position in the top-five with a nail-biting four-point win against reigning premier McLaren Districts during round 10 action in the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) at Myponga on Saturday. The game was tight all day with McLaren Districts holding a slender four-point lead at three quarter time. Buoyed by their home crowd, Myponga-Sellicks finished well, kicking three goals to two in the last quarter, to win 10.13 (73) to 10.9 (69). Darren Shillabeer kicked three goals for the Mudlarks, while Henry Mathews and Matthew Merrett kicked two goals each for the Eagles. Best players for Myponga-Sellicks were Ben Kennedy, Sam Kennedy, Connor Sampson, Mitchell Wilkins, Jack Cooper and Justin Whitford. The Eagles were best served by Ashley Goodieson, Henry Mathews, Merrett, Darcy Brown, Brett Ellis and Lachlan Mathews.Encounter Bay moved up to second spot on the GSFL ladder after defeating Willunga by 16 points at Willunga yesterday. The first half was tight with the Bays holding a three-point lead at halftime. Four goals to one in the third quarter from the Bays saw them take a handy 22-point lead into the last quarter. Willunga battled hard in the final term, before Encounter Bay prevailed 11.8 (74) to 9.4 (58). Kyron Pepper kicked four goals for the Bays, while Tyson Hoffmann also kicked four majors for the Demons. Callum Tonkin was excellent in the ruck for the Bays and he was well supported by Pepper, Tyler Baldock, Marcus Lippett, Kyle Hayter and Oliver Price. Noarlunga got off to an excellent start to lead by 25 points at quarter time, and they still led by 21 points at the main break. From halftime onwards however, it was all Christies Beach as they kicked six goals to two to win 11.6 (72) to 10.5 (65). Christies Beach skipper Michael Mazey kicked four goals, while Tom Anderson kicked three goals for the Shoes. Best players for the Saints included Josh de Roode, Mazey, Jace Daris, Thomas Kirwan, Nathan Sable and Austin Hogg. The Shoes were best served by Tom Anderson, Nick Mott, Beau Donaldson, Terry Kathopoulis, Sam Goldfinch and Josh Beard.Ironbank Cherry Gardens won their second game in a row after defeating Cove by four points at Hallett Cove today. Encounter Bay moved up to third spot on the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) ladder following their 16-point win against Myponga-Sellicks during round nine action on Saturday. The Bays’ win was set up by a dominant first quarter as they took a 27-point lead at quarter time. They extended their lead out to 32 points by the last change, before the Mudlarks won the last quarter. The final scores were Encounter Bay 10.9 (69) to Myponga-Sellicks 7.11 (53). Tyson Neale and Kyron Pepper kicked two goals each for the Bays, while Darren Shillabeer was the standout forward on the field with six goals for the Mudlarks. Best players for Encounter Bay were Callum Tonkin, James Bradford, Cory Gamble, Jarran Crabb, Elijah Horrocks and Tyler Baldock. Myponga-Sellicks were best served by Ben Kennedy, Darren Shillabeer, Jack Cooper, Mitchell Wilkins, Justin Whitford and Scott Ogilvie.Victor Harbor rolled to their ninth consecutive win after a comprehensive 126-point victory at Yankalilla on Saturday. Victor Harbor led by 40 points at halftime, before kicking 15 goals to one in the second half to win 24.16 (160) to 5.4 (34). Harry Vincent, Sam Basham, Bryce Gibbs and Jackson Elmes all kicked four goals for the ‘Roos, while Joel Kay kicked two goals for the Tigers. Best players for ‘Victor’ included Matthew Wiese, Jesse McKinnon, Reece Kleinig, Elmes, Zachary Dowling and Kane Cooper. Yankalilla were best served by Tyler Athanasos, Jack Fitzgerald, Bailey Gaskin, Jesse Fitzgerald, William Hogben and Toby Nolan.Willunga won their second game in a row with a 154-point victory against Goolwa/Port Elliot. The Demons led by 50 points at quarter time, 79 points at halftime, and 125 points at the last change, before winning 32.15 (207) to 8.5 (53). Ryan Sherry had a day out for Willunga with 11 goals, Cam McDonald kicked seven majors, while Daniel Bass chipped in with four goals. Fred Nissen and Brock Donaldson kicked two goals each for the Magpies. Cam McDonald, Sherry,  Sam Renney, Cameron Hutchens, Braden Altus and Bass were named as Willunga’s best players. Fred Nissen, Ryan Carnelly, Kai Iwao, Patrick Grigg, Logan Payne and Dene McKinlay were best for the Magpies.Strathalbyn kept their finals hopes alive with an 18-point win against Mt Compass. ‘Strath’ led by just three points at the last change, before kicking four goals to two in the last term to win 12.7 (79) to 9.7 (61). Ben Simounds (4), Jacob Wright (3) and Marc Elliott (2) were the leading goalkickers for the Roosters. Tom Pinyon (4), Adam Hunter (3) and Cody Connor (2) were the multiple goalkickers for the Bulldogs. Best players for Strathalbyn included Wright, Thomas Welk, Brock Keding, Charles Durack, Elliott and Simounds. Mt Compass was best served by Will Zimmermann, Leo Turner, Tom Vitkunas, Darcy Boots, Connor and Rilee Endersby.McLaren Districts consolidated their spot in the top-three following a comfortable 38-point win against Langhorne Creek. The Eagles led at every change to win 18.7 (115) to 11.11 (77). Brett Ellis kicked six goals in a best-on-ground performance for McLaren Districts and he was joined in the best players by Alex Moyle, Patrick McMahon, Luke Mitton, Cameron Jarrett and Ashley Goodieson.
